American Realty & Development has developed millions of square feet in retail space through our specialization in free-standing and multi-tenant centers. We have multiple construction managers and subcontractors on staff who have worked for us exclusively for the last 20 years. American Realty & Development was established in 1998 by Kevin Guffey, who has filled his office with many family members, including his two children. We are the definition of a family-run business. Kevin’s knowledge of commercial real estate includes retail centers, triple-net single-tenant retail, quick service restaurants, site selections, land, and development.
Kevin Guffey
Principal Broker/Owner
Kevin is the founder of American Realty & Development, along with his wife, Brendaleigh. They owned a family furniture and appliance store that they shut down in 1998. After being a young entrepreneur, Kevin knew he wanted to continue his journey as such. He had always had an interest in real estate, so after getting his real estate license, he found himself a business partner for his first deal. He quickly got his Broker's license and continued to learn as much as he could about commercial real estate and development.
Bryan Pendleton
Controller
Bryan began his career with American Realty & Development in 2004; before that, he worked for Emhart Glass Manufacturing. Bryan earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from Lincoln University, in Accounting and Business Administration. Bryan is the strongest piece of our team as he does so much for not only the company but also each person. He handles and oversees all financial matters, assists in property management issues, and takes care of anything else that gets thrown his way.
Wade Guffey
Lead Leasing Agent/Project Manager
Wade is your go-to guy if you are looking for space to lease. He handles leasing, property management, and manages new build projects. Wade joined the team in 2019 after getting his Salesperson license. Before working at American Realty & Development, he ran his own Auto Parts store. Wade received his welding degree in 2015 from the Missouri Welding Institute.
Keith Guffey
Project Manager/Realtor
Keith joined the team in 2015, and since then, he has built several multi-tenant buildings along with infills for a national retail chain. Keith has also built several stand-alone buildings with infills for national and regional retail chains. Before joining American Realty & Development, Keith earned a Bachelor of Science from Lincoln University with a Major in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration. He also spent over 25 years as a subcontractor in commercial and residential work for his own company.
Madeline Mayo
Lease Analyst
Madeline attended the University of Arkansas, where she completed her Bachelor of Finance with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Investment, also receiving her minor in Marketing. After graduating, Madeline worked in the mortgage industry for a few years before beginning her career with the company in January of 2023. She handles everything from marketing, property reconciliations, analyzing and creating leases, to property management.
